Brackets for Dusty Classic, Rousey Ready to Return , Shad Gaspard

NXT General Manager announced on NXT this week that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament will be returning very soon. Brackets just revealed by WWE show that 2016 tournament finalists TM61 and the Authors of Pain will face each other again in the first round. Additionally, The Street Profits will take on Heavy Machinery, Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss will face Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe, and Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch will team up to take on Tyler Bate and Trent Seven. The winners of those matches will move onto the second round, eventually leading to the two final teams to compete for the trophy and a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships in the future.

Ronda Rousey shocked fans when she appeared at the Royal Rumble last month and then confirmed that she has signed a deal to join WWE. Rousey has not been seen on television ever since she debuted, but she will be appearing that the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view this Sunday night before permanently joining the Raw brand. Rousey has been busy finishing her work on the upcoming Mile 22 film, but PWInsider has confirmed that she has completed filming all of her parts for the movie. She reportedly began training at the WWE Performance Center again earlier this week and she also payed a visit the WWE’s corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Wrestling fans may remember Shad Gaspard from his run in WWE when he famously teamed up with JTG to form the Cryme Tyme tag team. Gaspard was released from his WWE contract several years ago, but he has continued to wrestle on the independent circuit and he has also kept himself busy with a few movie roles as well. In fact, Gaspard recently had a small role in Marvel’s recent blockbuster film, Black Panther. Gaspard recently posted two videos on his Instagram account showing him and another stuntman learning the choreography for a fight from the film.
