After claiming that most WWE wrestlers are p*ssies at Friday afternoon’s UFC 202 media conference call, Conor McGregor attempted to clarify that he meant no disrespect to WWE fans in a tweet on Sunday morning.
McGregor understandably hasn’t been the most popular person in the wrestling world after his comments, but he again doubled down on them while attempting to gain favor with fans.
McGregor tweeted, “I didn’t mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday’s.”
Roman Reigns tweeted back at McGregor, “Your the size of my leg. Shut up.” He also corrected his grammar mistake in a later tweet.

Several other wrestlers have responded as well, including Kurt Angle and Sasha Banks.
The controversy initially began when McGregor said on the conference call, “For the most part those WWE guys are p*ssies. To be honest, they’re messed up p*ssies if you ask me.”
But McGregor said he had respect for some in the industry, calling the McMahon family, Triple H, and The Rock dons of the wrestling game.
McGregor also derided professional wrestling as show business while saying he’s in the fight business. But McGregor has embraced the show business side of fighting perhaps more than anyone in UFC history, and continuing his feud with WWE wrestlers is just another example of that.
