Tessa Blanchard has been cited as one of the fastest rising female stars in all of pro wrestling today. Blanchard won her match at All In this past weekend, has won titles in several countries, is currently the reigning Impact Knockouts Champion, and she has done this all at just 23-years-old. Although Blanchard has admitted that she was devastated when WWE decided against recruiting her, the third-generation wrestler has had no issues finding work elsewhere, and it has just been announced that Blanchard has signed with AXS TV’s Women of Wrestling promotion. The promotion will begin taping shows in Los Angeles, California this October, and the show is currently set to premiere on AXS TV in early 2019.

WWE returned to Detroit, Michigan in the Little Caesar’s Arena for last night’s episode of SmackDown. The show continued to build up the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view that WWE will be putting on later this month, but distressing photos of the arena from fans in attendance have just surfaced online. While there have been a few instances of WWE tarping off sections of arenas for various shows, photos show that nearly half of the arena in Detroit was tarped off during the entirety of last night’s episode of SmackDown. WWE and Fox agreed to move SmackDown over to the network starting in October of 2019 as part of a multi-million dollar deal, so hopefully, the company will get more fans back to watching SmackDown soon.

Ever since Bobby Roode was called up from NXT last year, he has been working as a babyface on WWE programming. Several fans believe that Roode is miscast as a babyface and would be much better off as a heel like he was in NXT. During Raw this past Monday night, Roode teamed up with Chad Gable and defeated The Ascension before seemingly teasing that they would continue to wrestle in the tag team division for the foreseeable future. According to Cageside Seats, fans should not get too used to seeing Roode and Gable together as a tag team as the former NXT Champion will reportedly turn heel and feud with Gable very soon. The partnership and rivalry with Roode is reportedly being done to keep Gable busy on television before he reunites with Jason Jordan in American Alpha.
