WWE News & Notes 7/22
– Seth Rollins (Colby Lopez) was interviewed by the local newspaper covering Davenport, Iowa about his wrestling school training the next generation of wrestling stars.
“I am partial to the way I came into the industry, as a fan from the Quad-Cities to being able to work my way from ground zero all the way to becoming WWE champion,” Rollins said. “I find that historically it has created the best superstars. It’s the way I did things, and this is how I know how to teach kids how to do things.”
Rollins also talked about his rehab from major knee surgery and missing his target to return by WrestleMania earlier this year. “My target was always to be back by WrestleMania; that was always ambitious, but it set the wheels in motion. It really pushed my work ethic,” Rollins said. “Anyone who watched my rehab knew I wanted to get back as soon as possible. That’s just how I do things. Six-and-a-half months is pretty good for that surgery.”

– Titus O’Neil continued WWE’s relationship with Tampa Bay Bucs QB Jameis Winston through a community event Thursday in Tampa connecting civilians and police. Winston, who appeared on a recent Raw TV in Tampa, joined O’Neil and police officers for “Champions of Character Day.” (Details at TampaBay.com)
