Last night’s episode of Raw was headlined by a birthday party celebration for WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. The segment ultimately led to the sudden reintroduction of Batista, but guests like Triple H, Ricky Steamboat, Sting, and others were all present to honor Flair. However, fans noticed that Flair’s daughter Charlotte was nowhere to be found at all during the segment. Despite previous reports claiming that Charlotte was backstage at Raw last night, that is not the case. Wrestling Inc. reports that she and Randy Orton, another close friend of Ric Flair’s, were instead wrestling at a live event in Savannah, Georgia for the SmackDown roster. This explains why Charlotte did not celebrate her father’s 70th birthday with the rest of the WWE roster last night.
SmackDown competitor Rowan made his return to action earlier in the week. Rowan had been out with an injury throughout much of late 2018. He made first reappeared on WWE programming when he aligned himself with Daniel Bryan and helped him retain the WWE Championship against AJ Styles. Rowan has continued to show up on television with Bryan over the past couple of weeks, but he did not make his in-ring return until last night’s SmackDown live event in Savannah, Georgia. Rowan defeated Shelton Benjamin in a singles match during the show. Rowan still has yet to wrestle again on TV, but he will likely continue to be by Bryan’s side for the time being. Rowan will also be at Fastlane when Bryan defends his title against Kofi Kingston.
WWE just rehired Jeff Jarrett as a backstage producer, but it looks like his days in the ring may not be over yet despite the new job title. The WWE Hall of Famer just made a surprise appearance during an Insane Championship Wrestling event this past Sunday night. During the promotion’s Square Go event, Jarrett arrived as the 29th entrant in the Square Go match. Jarrett was unable to win the match though as that honor went to Rudo Lightning. The Square Go match is similar to WWE’s annual Royal Rumble matches, which is interesting given that Jarrett also competed in the latter match back in January for WWE. The video of Jarrett making his surprise return to ICW can be viewed down below:
