FOXBOROUGH, MA — Robert Kraft’s lawyers ramped up their efforts this week to suppress a video recording related to accusations he solicited prostitution at a Florida massage parlor in January. Kraft, 77, pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of soliciting another to commit prostitution stemming from visits to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida, the day before and morning of the AFC Championship Game.
If the media were to get access to the police surveillance videos, Kraft would suffer “irreparable harm” in the case, his defense team argued in a new court filing.

“Public disclosure at this stage could … destroy any prospect of Mr. Kraft receiving a fair trial,” his lawyers wrote in the filing.
Kraft’s lawyers also argued the videos are exempt from disclosure under Florida public records law because they stem from an illegally granted warrant, authorizing police to install cameras at the spa. The team requested that information on everyone inside the spa, including those who weren’t charged be presented as evidence in the trial. About two dozen men were charged charged with soliciting prostitution at the spa.
The defense asked for “all information casting doubt on any claim that those working at the spa were involved in or victims of human trafficking.”
A judge has scheduled a hearing Friday to decide if the video should be released to the media.
