Survivor’s Hope – People With Mental Illnesses & Acid Attack Victims To Get Quota In Govt Jobs

A wound is a wound, whether it’s physical, mental or emotional. The only difference is when someone is hurt mentally and emotionally, more often than not people don’t see it. So they don’t get why life is so hard for such people or why the mundane things in life become a challenge for them every single day.

According to an official order people with autism, mental illnesses, intellectual disability and victims of acid attacks will now get aquota in central government jobs. In case of direct recruitment, four per cent of the total number of vacancies, up from the existing three per cent, in groups A, B and C shall be reserved for people with benchmark disabilities.

(Benchmark disability means a person with not less than forty per cent of a specified disability.)
