With all of the emerging contemporary designers lately, I haven’t given Elizabeth and James much thought. Yep, designer duo Ashley and Mary-Kate just have not been on my radar over these last few months. That is, until I accidentally stumbled upon the piece you see pictured here. Suddenly, I was reminded just how good Elizabeth and James can be! Introducing the Elizabeth and James Coco Scott Tote!
Uptown versus downtown, masculine versus feminine, and casual versus dressy… Elizabeth and James seeks to blur the lines. Traditionally known for menswear-inspired clothing, this designer has managed to bring us some interesting and unique handbags over the years as well. What I have always liked about them is how versatile they are. And that is exactly what I see when I look at this Elizabeth and James Coco Scott Tote! Colorblocked with smooth white leather and rich tan suede, this tote would go with a lot of things, that is for sure. I also love how it isn’t too casual, but it isn’t too dressy either. And those endearing studs along the sides? They actually add something unexpected to this tote. They add a little bit of a cowgirl vibe. Not too much though. But just enough to cause a double-take or two!
