Bag Trend Report: Fringe is in for Fall!

Fringe is in for Fall! But really has it ever gone out of style? I remember around 8 years ago Louis Vuitton came out with the Runway Multicolor Fringe, and that was what set it off, the beginning of the fringe trend kicked off. Since then other high-end designers and contemporary all followed the fringe train.

In the beginning, I honestly wasn’t the biggest fan, but over the years the trend has grown on me. Sometimes though, it’s still a hit or miss with me. Below are a few of my favorites for Fall 2014.

Stella McCartney Fringe Falabella$1,080. Check it out over on Saks Fifth Avenue!
I love the glossy metallic sheen- it has that dramatic edge. It has sort of a more classic elegant look to it, perfect for whatever the occasion, day-to-night. The body is designed with fringed shiny leather (aka polyester). Like all the other Stella McCartney bags, the Falabella is made entirely of animal-friendly materials. Her design philosophy is to consciously avoid the use of all use of leather and fur.

Proenza Schouler Fringe PS1$1,657. Check it out over on MyTheresa!
I know the term, ‘IT Bag’ is a bit dated, however this bag is the definition of just that. The PS1 has been around for a couple years and continues to be a best seller. This time around the PS1 comes with a fringe update and I am in absolute awe. It comes in so many different colors perfect for Autumn, like Maroon and Luggage brown, but this Cadet Blue is such a stunner!

Monserat De Lucca Fringe Bochoa$260. Check it out over on ShopBop!
Suede combined with the fringe give it an upated cool bohemian vibe. Comes in three Autumn-worthy shades: Black, Taupe and Nude. It has sort of a shaggy fringe look to it, perfect for a casual weekend day.

What do you guys think of the fringe trend?
