You remember Botkier, right? How about the story behind the brand? I remember it. Monica Botkier was hunting for the perfect handbag. When the current selection was not meeting her expectations, she decided to design her dream handbag. She was pleasantly surprised with all of the attention her creation was receiving that she decided to make things official. In that moment, Botkier was born and the original Trigger design became the collection’s most recognized piece. Botkier was quite popular a few years back, but since then things have cooled down quite a bit. This hasn’t stopped me from loving Botkier though! I really want to see this designer in the spotlight again. Until then, I can admire some of her recent designs and share them with all of you. I really like the one you see pictured here. This lovely piece has “legacy” in the name because it is inspired by the iconic Trigger Satchel. The resemblance can be found in the design on the front. The two diagonal zippers come together in the center for form a Y on the front. For me, that is instantly recognizable. This little bag has a more updated look though. The lavender color is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for spring/summer. The leather is glazed too, which gives it a unique texture. But those studs! Those studs are what set this bag apart from the rest! The studs are actually triangular, which are not your everyday studs. I love them and I think they give this piece an extra little boost.
