Shopbop’s One by collection is at it again, bringing us yet another emerging designer to fall in love with. I am always excited to see what new things they add to the collection. This time around, they are featuring Parcel & Journey. According to the website, they chose this particular designer for its sustainable, globally made accessories. But I chose them because of the gorgeous bead work. Check out the Parcel & Journey Beaded Pouchettes!
Launched in 2013, Parcel & Journey believes in a “trade not aid” philosophy. The company provides opportunities for skilled artisans to earn sustainable incomes and provide better lives for their families and communities. Personally, I think it would be great if more designers did this because it can help bring financial stability to communities where there are not a lot of opportunities. And some of the things they create are quite beautiful.
That is why I love these little Parcel & Journey clutches. The beading is exquisite and the colors are very festive. They look absolutely stunning in the geometric patterns as well. Plus I love the over sized tassel on the zipper pull and matching cross stitch trim. Very cute and perfect for a night out where just the essentials are required.
