Can I just say that butterflies are just so overrated? It can’t be just the only one who thinks this way. I am aware that they hold specific meanings and symbolic significance, however you see them everywhere. It’s a trend that will never die. Which is why it is hard for me to get excited when I see a new handbag or clutch designed with a butterfly print. However, when I saw the Sophia Webster Flossy Butterfly Clutch, all of this just flew out the window.
Butterflies are symbolic of hope, change, transformation, and new beginnings. So I suppose I can understand why they have become so popular. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love butterflies. Why do I love it? The answer is simple. Actually, no, the butterfly itself is simple. The butterfly is black leather, matching the color of the clutch rather than standing out. Bright colors can be fun, of course. But there is just something so sophisticated about relying on texture rather than bright colors to add interest to a piece. This oversized butterfly is sure to make people want to come in for a closer look. In fact, from a distance, someone may not realize it is a butterfly. That is half the fun though, isn’t it?
