Back when the Rebecca Minkoff handbag collection made it’s debut back in 2007 / 2008 I was obsessed, everyone was. The Matinee, Nikki, and Morning After Bag were classics. Do you remember all the minkoff sample sales? Crazy hordes of people would line up just to get one (or 5) of these bags in different colors. Oh how times have changed. I still love Rebecca Minkoff handbags, but not like that anymore. It seems that this designer just hasn’t been the same lately. She went a different direction with her designs…it just isn’t the same. However, every now and then a design does break through the crowd and catch my attention. This is a Rebecca Minkoff style that calls to me. Today I found a gorgeous piece from this designer that really has me excited- Rebecca Minkoff Laurie Crossbody Bag!
Just to clarify, this particular version of the Laurie Crossbody Bag is a RebeccaMinkoff.com exclusive. And I can see why! I love this version much better than the flat version found on other sites. There is so much more to this bag than its shape and size though. I am head over heals in love with the colors. You may recall that this isn’t the first time this season I have written about a handbag featuring a 1970s color palette. I really think there is something to this color palette. In fact, I smell a trend alert! The fact that this color palette is on a small, crossbody bag only adds to this would-be trend. I can see this bag paired with high waisted jeans and a floaty blouse. You know, to keep with the whole 1970s hippie vibe.
Neiman Marcus has a similar version here: Laurie Flat Crossbody Clutch Bag, Olive/Multi
