Prada Eco Mongolia Garden Tote

The Italian Couture House of Prada has a new furry suggestion to carry on arm. Ditch the fussy puppy and if you dare, give this fuzzy handbag a try – the Prada Eco Mongolia Garden Tote. So much furry disorder is going on in this piece. It looks like something I wouldn’t typically look at twice, but upon further inspection of this piece, one unexpected detail caught my attention.

What looks like an orb of exotic fur actually claims to be eco friendly, that is; the tote is made of faux fur. Quite a surprise as Prada is known to compose some very exotic pieces with fine furs in past collections. If you’re a fur advocate you may dislike the faux fur feel, while a fur activist who dares to wear something out of their ordinary taste, could actually sport this, guilt free.

Genuine fur or not, this isn’t my cup of tea, but it sure is attractive in the sense that it grabs attention, whether you love it or hate it. There’s nothing boring about it, perhaps it’s the most awkward Prada you’ll run into this season. Of course, there’s no featured silhouette, instead it’s referred to as an east-west type of piece. So you can only imagine what its structure looks like, fur-less. $995 is the listed price tag on this Prada, and its available online through: Prada Boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue
