Rennes have set an initial €40m asking price to allow Moroccan centre-back Nayef Aguerd (26) to join West Ham, according to sources contacted by GFFN.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano and The Guardian, talks are positive, ongoing and at an advanced stage over the transfer, with the player keen to make the switch to England.
Aguerd has been one of the best, if not the best, defenders in France this season and has played 80 games for Rennes since joining from Dijon for €4m in 2020.
