Samudra is the Sanskrit word for ocean. It literally means “gathering of the waters”. What name could possibly be more fitting for this beautiful line? Created by designer Jennifer Binney, Samudra uses colorful graphics to tell the stories of her distant travels and time spent at her home in Hawaii. The images are just so rich and unique, they make you want to do a double take. That’s why I was thrilled when I saw the Samudra Printed Canvas Pouches.
Admittedly, it probably isn’t the ideal time to promote these pouches. But they are just so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist! Pictured here are two of my favorites. The first is the Flamingos Clutch. I love the rough texture of the sand paired with the soft texture of the feathers. It is such a striking combination and so unexpected. The second is the Mokulua Clutch. The vivid sunset over the water is such a gorgeous scene. It is so tranquil, it makes you think you’re someplace warm and sunny. All of the Samudra Printed Canvas Clutch are oversized. Measuring 14 inches long, they are perfect for use as a casual clutch. They could even be used as a large cosmetic bag.
