As noted, there has been a lot of criticism from the MMA community regarding CM Punk’s placement on the card at the upcoming UFC 225 pay-per-view on June 9th near his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
UFC President Dana White addressed the issue during the post-fight press conference for the UFC Fight Night 130 event over the weekend in Liverpool, England.
“Listen, when Alistair Overeem sells as many pay-per-views as CM Punk does, we can argue,” said White. The UFC boss man was also asked if it would be Punk’s last fight in the Octagon if he were to lose. White replied that it would be.
UFC 225 featuring CM Punk vs. Mike Jackson takes place at the AllState Arena in Rosemont, Illinois on Saturday, June 9th.
