The votes are in, and after a close race between the top two contenders, it came down to a battle between Jordan Devlin and… well, himself basically.
Devlin rocked this year’s UK independent scene, churning out great matches left and right all year long. He ended up qualifying for four places on our list this year, as did David Starr, with WWE UK Champion WALTER not too far behind.

While it seemed like a foregone conclusion at first that Starr and Devlin’s incredible match at OTT 5th Anniversary would take the top spot, given the buildup throughout the year into arguably one of the greatest indie matches ever seen. But Devlin’s bout with WALTER just inched by in the end.
