Triple H Expected to Miss WrestleMania? New Rules for WWE Teams

Triple H may not be a full-time competitor anymore, but fans are almost guaranteed to see Triple H return to the ring at least once a year for WrestleMania. Last year, Triple H teamed up with Stephanie McMahon to face Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle in a match that received a ton of praise from fans. With WrestleMania 35 just around the corner now, fans have been wondering who “The Game” will face at this year’s event. There have even been rumors suggesting that he could be wrestling a returning Batista this April in what would likely be “The Animal’s” last ever wrestling match. However, a brand new report is claiming that Triple H may not be competing at “The Grandest Stage of Them All” this year at all.
According to a report from Sports Illustrated, the chances of Triple H being cleared in time to compete at WrestleMania 35 don’t look too great at the moment. Given the fact that the show doesn’t take place until April, there is still time for the former world champion to rehab his injuries and wrestle on the show, but only time will tell if he can get a spot on the card. Fans may remember that Triple H received a gruesome pectoral musce injury during his match with Shawn Michaels against Kane & The Undertaker at Crown Jewel back in November. Batista still has yet to make his return to WWE television, so it is unclear if WWE still plans on doing that match if Triple H is able to compete at WrestleMania 35 this April.
On Monday Night Raw, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival have been complaining about the rules of the WWE tag team division for quite some time. During Monday Night Raw last night, Corey Graves stated that tag team matches will now feature illegal partners only be granted one opportunity to make the save for their legal partners. Afterwards, they will be required to leave the ring in order to keep them from getting disqualified from the match. It will be interesting to see these changes be implemented in upcoming tag team matches over the next few weeks. WWE has been promising to “shake up” the television product for months now and these new rules may just be one way that the company is going about making good on that promise.
