Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson drafted to WWE Raw

Gable Steveson has already been drafted to a WWE brand.

It was announced during the final round of tonight’s draft on Raw that Steveson had been drafted to Raw. After the announcement was made, Gable was seen celebrating at home with his family.

Steveson won the gold medal in freestyle wrestling at 125 kg this past summer at the Tokyo Olympics. He officially signed with the WWE on September 4. Despite signing with the WWE, he will attend his senior year of college at the University of Minnesota while training to become a professional wrestler.

Bobby Steveson, Gable’s brother, is also under WWE contract, currently training at the WWE Performance Center.

Tonight’s Raw was the final night of this year’s WWE Draft. Significant moves include Kevin Owens, The Street Profits, Finn Balor, Carmella, and Becky Lynch to Raw and Sheamus, Shayna Bazler, Xia Li, The Viking Raiders, Ricochet, Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza, and Ridge Holland to SmackDown.
