Jill Stein: 'Pathetic' excuse by Dems that campaign was tool of Russian influence

Jill Stein called it a “pathetic” excuse by Democrats to claim her presidential campaign was used as a tool of Russian influence during the 2016 presidential race.

In an interview with Politico, Stein, the Green Party nominee in the 2016 campaign, said she doesn’t think she has any regrets about her run.

“I consider it a great honor that the party and our prior campaign for president is suddenly being attacked outside of an election season,” she told the publication.

She also said she is “not aware of any ties whatsoever, financial or otherwise,” between her, her campaign or the Green Party and Russian entities.

“Putin is an authoritarian and has a very troubled, disturbing record,” she said.

“It’s important to look at where Putin comes from. … It was Larry Summers and the guys from Harvard who basically privatized the public domain [in post-Soviet Russia] and created the oligarchs.” Her comments come after some have questioned why Stein was at a 2015 Moscow gala thrown by a Russian state-owned broadcaster.

“There have been public reports, I think, that Jill Stein was also in Russia attending the RT function, so we’re going to need to look at any efforts the Russians made through whatever means to influence our elections.”

President Trump has also dismissed reports related to Russian influence in the presidential race as an excuse by Democrats for their loss in the presidential race. Click Here: New Zealand rugby store
