SaveOnBrew.Com, the world’s only beer price-search engine, announced the availability of mobile applications for the Apple and Droid platforms.

“We’ve actually had a mobile version of our web site available for quite some time,” explained Mark Davidson, site founder. “It’s really pretty good. Put in your zip code, find advertised beer deals anywhere in the country.”

Even though the mobile web site was available, the Texas-based company kept getting requests for a mobile application.

“It’s a cultural shift, really. If I say ‘mobile web site’ you might go ‘huh?’ If I say ‘mobile application’, you instantly understand.”

Before SaveOnBrew published the applications, they added a few new enhancements. “We worked on the social aspects, making it easier to share deals on Facebook and Twitter. We also added in some visual cues so that people understand how many deals are in their area,” says Davidson.

The free applications are now available at the Apple store as well as the Google marketplace.

This sample is designed for display manufacturers who want to evaluate the performance of MaxLife technology for use in their own displays.

Low-volume production runs of the display are also available for medical imaging, scientific imaging, and other demanding applications that require fast response time, wide viewing angle, and ultra-high contrast.

Typically AMOLED displays suffer from image sticking, where images can be permanently burned into the display. This is caused by the instability of both the TFT and the OLED. This isnt a problem for mobile phones, which are replaced every couple of years. However larger displays are expected to have perfect uniformity over many years.

AMOLED displays can also have non-uniformity patterns known as mura, resulting in stripes, speckles, or cloudiness in the display. This is due to the manufacturing process of both the TFT and the OLED. Currently the solution is to discard those displays with bad mura.

IGNIS MaxLife technology continuously measures every pixel in the display and compensates for even the smallest shift in performance, making it completely uniform and completely stable, says Dr. Reza Chaji, President and CTO. It has been manufactured and proven on oxide, polysilicon, and amorphous silicon TFT backplanes.
